大中鋒懷特塞德(Hassan Whiteside)持續缺陣，背水一戰的熱火總教練斯波史特拉(Erik Spoelstra)決定貫徹小球打法，全場8名球員輪換，僅用了板凳麥克羅伯茲(Josh McRoberts)一名內線球員。暴龍雙衛雖以59分得分壓過熱火先發後場的52分，但仍兵敗邁阿密，熱火103比91保住主場，戰線延長到第七場。

暴龍首節尚能與熱火糾纏，僅落後1分，第二節熱火德拉基奇(Goran Dragic)開始狂飆，7投6中，個人獨拿14分，率隊單節攻下32分，整個系列賽兩隊首次單節得分超過30分。半場熱火領先9分，從此未再落後。

德拉基奇攻下生涯季後賽新高30分，前三節就有28分。另有7籃板、4助攻。第四節則交老將韋德(Dwyane Wade)掌控局勢，單節8分，全場22分、6籃板、5助攻，還有2抄截、3阻攻。強森(Joe Johnson)貢獻13分，首度在季後賽先發的菜鳥溫斯洛(Justise Winslow)拿下12分。麥克羅伯茲板凳支援10分。

暴龍洛瑞(Kyle Lowry)全場最高36分，德羅贊(DeMar DeRozan)命中率不佳，21投只中8，得到23分。畢永柏(Bismack Biyombo)抓下12個籃板，但只得4分。暴龍除明星雙衛外，沒人得分達兩位數。

熱火雖打五小陣容，籃板卻只少對手2個，禁區得分也只差暴龍1分，第二波進攻還比暴龍多1分。

雙方季後賽連兩輪都要打滿七場，休息一天後，將到多倫多進行最後一戰。
